Powerball in the USA hit a world record jackpot, from an already massive $US900 million last draw to mammoth $US1.4 billion recently – just over $AUD2 billion in our currency.
It was enough to send 319 million Americans into overdrive, with huge sales raising the jackpot further and reaching more than $1.5 billion by the time of the draw.
