Are you owed money?
Cath from our office was! She tested the site below and found money owing to her.
The law used to be that where there has been no activity on a bank account (deposits or withdrawals)for seven years, the Government considers funds in these accounts to be ‘unclaimed money’. Unclaimed money accounts with balances of $500 or more must be closed and transferred to the Australian Securities and Investment Commission (ASIC).
In December 2012 the Government changed the law relating to unclaimed moneys, and reduced the unclaimed moneys period from seven years to three years.
You can find out if you have unclaimed money from an old account here:

The unclaimed money search can also show you any amounts owing to you from other sources, such as life insurances, super, council refunds etc. It’s better in your hands than the Governments!
